Greetings, my name is Patrick Pu*. Based in the San Gabriel Valley, I specialize in event photography & on-location portraiture, which includes engagement sessions & weddings, birthday parties & anniversaries, commercial (product & fashion), graduation ceremonies and portraits, and headshots.

I majored in graphic design at Cal Poly Pomona. The digital workflow - color correction, Photoshop retouching, and graphic layouts - are all accomplished by my own hands. Products such as album design & galley wrap layouts are personally designed without the use of any pre-existing templates. Oftentimes, photoshoots are shot specifically with the product in mind.

I am a firm believer that there has to be life and texture to a person in a photograph. As such retouching follows a natural look and feel, a quality often lost when the transition from film to digital came to pass. My outlook of photography is that you should be able to show photos to your grandchildren and honestly say that you used to look that way. Though this isn't to say that I am against the wizardry that is photo retouching. Photoshopping should be like makeup, not plastic surgery. Love the way you look, and I try to capture that, whether behind the camera or in post-production.

My rates can be found here. If I fit what you are looking for, contact me for a consultation and quotes for custom packages. Thank you for your time, and God bless.

*The surname Pu is pronounced similarly to other Chinese names like Wu or Chu; or to reference pop culture, Pooh.
