The surname Pu has a similar sound to other Chinese names such as Wu or Chu; pronounced like "Pooh". I am a freelance photographer based out of the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles, California. With several specializations, I primarily cover on-location portraiture and event photography. Some of my other specialties include engagement & weddings, party & nightlife coverage, commercial photography, high school portraits & graduation ceremonies, and headshots.  My style of photography is a combination of planned and candid photography: active in seeking out specific lighting and posing one moment, and then switches off to blend in the background and let the event take its course. I majored in graphic design at Cal Poly Pomona. The digital workflow - color correction, Photoshop retouching, and graphic layouts - are all accomplished by my own hands. All products are personally designed without the use of a pre-existing template. Oftentimes, photoshoots are shot specifically with the product in mind. I am a firm believer that there has to be life and texture to a person in a photograph, and as such retouching follows a natural look and feel. My outlook of photography is that you should be able to show photos to your grandchildren and honestly say that you used to look that way. Though this isn't to say that I am against the wizardry that is photo retouching. Photoshopping should be like makeup, not plastic surgery. Love the way you look, and I try to capture that, whether behind the camera or in post-production. I am available and willing to travel (with expenses paid), and have gone as far as San Diego for various gigs. I also can supply lighting equipment, thus able to shoot photo session at your home or on-location. If you're interested a little more about myself, I was born in New York, but was raised in Florida before moving to Southern California with my family when I turned nine (as of 2012, I am 32 years old). Not married, but in a stable relationship with my girlfriend of almost 2 years. I have a brother who has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, and spend as much time as I can with him. For fun, I enjoy football, videogames, anime, concerts, hiking, biking, swimming... and taking photographs. My rates can be found here.
