definePatism:

exploring the photographic works of patrick pu

Patrick Pu (sounds like "Pooh") is a freelance photographer, offering his services to consumers interested in on-location portraiture and event photography. To give some context, he is experienced in photographing weddings, graduation ceremonies, fashion shows, model and actor portfolios, and family portraits. If interested in acquiring about his services, please contact for a personal consultation.

Patrick is based out in the San Gabriel Valley (near Pasadena, CA). In college he studied graphic design and art history, but decided afterwards to pursue his love of photography, a passion he's carried since high school. He has spent years in darkrooms and photo labs, understanding the craft and industry from the background. Later, spent 2 years as an assistant in a wedding photography studio.

Define Patism is not a studio, just merely a title of a website. Patrick Pu is a lone photographer. While other photographers and studios may have subordinates working on post-production and design, he is hands-on in every step of production.

Patrick is also a vector artist, more for leisurely activity than as a trade skill. He enjoys listening to asian pop music, hosting meetup.com groups, watching American Idol, eating sushi and avocados, playing video games, collecting figurines, and blogging about random events from his life. You know... geeky stuff. He regularly attended evening service at Lake Avenue Church. Why share all this? Patrick believes that one must be able to trust in their photographer, whether it is in the creative vision or business practice, and that comes from a person's character. So I welcome you to define me; to define Patism.
